The Gas Engineering Level 3 Apprenticeship is delivered through Ignite Training our partner company. This allows us to offer Government funded provision and the apprenticeship standard in Gas Engineering.
Gas Engineering Apprenticeship Level 3 in Domestic and Non Domestic
Duration: 18 month
Requirements: No formal qualifications are required. If you have grades lower than grade C or level 4 at GCSE, or do not hold a level 2 Functional Skills/Key Skills English and math, you will need to complete both math and English alongside the apprenticeship.
Qualification: Level 3
Attendance: A minimum of 2 workshops per month at Ignite Gas Training.
Work placement required: you should be working full time for an employer with access to domestic or non domestic gas installations, servicing, and repairs.
Qualification: Apprenticeship Standard in Gas Engineering and the Certain Diploma Certificate.
Gas Safe Registration: The apprentice will gain Gas Safe Registration in 4 appliances.
About the Course: The Gas Engineering Level 3 Apprenticeship develops the Skills, Knowledge, and Behaviours required to become a competent and confident Gas Safe Registered Engineer, who is qualified to work on 4 different appliances. Apprentices will also gain their unvented hot water.
Costs: If you are a levy employer, there will not be a cost for the apprenticeship as long as you have apprenticeship levy funding available. If you are a non-levy business there will be a 5% contribution of £1100 + VAT. If the apprentice is aged 16-18 there will be no 5% contribution and you will receive an incentive of £1000.
Duration: 13 month
Requirements: Maths and English at Grade C or level 4 + or Functional Skills / Key Skills Level 2. Prior Experience of plumbing, electrical or extensive experience within the heating industry.
Qualification: Level 3
